Make an Impact
Mutts About Pets cares about making an impact for animals in need. That's why I donate a portion of all earnings from this site to animal organizations. Since this site is new, I'm not able to make much of an impact yet, but I'm working hard to grow this site's following.

If you'd like to directly help animals in need, consider donating to an animal shelter or rescue. Below is a list of some great organizations to donate to.
Awesome Animal Organizations
Below is a list of animal organizations Mutts About Pets supports. Please consider donating to one (or more!) of them. If you know of a good organization to add to this list, contact us to let us know.
This organization in Walworth County, Wisconsin, specializes in senior dogs and special needs dogs, which are often the dogs that need the most support.
Bailing Out Benji is an organization that educates about puppy mills. They use their donations to access crucial information about breeder inspections and where puppy mills are selling to.
Copper Paws is a newer rescue based in Marshfield, Wisconsin. I started following them after hearing about their efforts to save puppy mill dogs.
HAWS is the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County, WI. I visited this humane society sometimes as a kid, and they do great work for animals in the community.
In Neenah, Wisconsin, this aquatic animal rescue takes in exotic pets like fish, reptiles, and amphibians. This is where I adopted my axolotl, Wooper, from.
This rescue, located in southeastern Wisconsin, is where I regularly foster and volunteer for. It's also were I adopted my dog, Mabel, from. They help a variety of dogs of all ages and breeds.
When I lived in Florida, this is the organization I wanted to foster for (but my apartment didn't allow fostering). They rescue special needs dogs in Orlando, Florida.
Mikey's Chance is a wonderful rescue in Washington that provides a safe haven for dogs in need and helps them find the best homes possible.
Muddy Paws is a dog rescue in New York City that I started following after seeing some of their adorable posts on social media.
Muttville is a rescue in San Francisco, California that specializes in finding homes for older dogs because they're so deserving of love.
This Colorado Springs dog rescue specializes in saving dogs from horrific puppy mills, which is something I'm very passionate about.
Noah Project is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter that strives to find the perfect home for every animal in their care.
Senior dogs are often overlooked at shelters and rescues. This organizations acts as a home for senior dogs to live out the rest of their lives in a loving home environment.
OPH is a foster-based rescue that saves dogs from crowded southern shelters and finds homes for them in Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, southern Pennsylvania, and nearby areas.
This Minnesota fox sanctuary rescues foxes from fur farms and other situations, cares for them, and finds them homes when able to.
I learned about this Oklahoma animal rescue after writing an article about Phoenix (a dog they rescued in heartbreaking condition). They do lots of amazing rescue work!
I stumbled upon a YouTube video about this sanctuary, and it's so wholesome. They take in overweight cats and help rehabilitate them in a comfortable environment.
Who Will Let the Dogs Out is an awesome organization that raises awareness for at-risk shelter dogs. They often travel to overcrowded and underfunded shelters to support them and spread the word about the homeless dogs.
