Original Post (4/12/2024):

Just over a week ago on April 1st, 2024, ADM Animal Nutrition recalled several lots of chicken, pig, horse, and cow feed due to elevated levels of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, and/or chloride. On April 11th, the FDA expanded this recall to include more chicken and pig food while also adding rabbit food to the list.

If you currently care for any chickens, pigs, or rabbits, keep reading to make sure the food you use isn't listed.

Several complaints led to a recall expansion. Four customers complained about ShowTec BB 18 BMD after their pigs showed little to no interest in the food, despite loving it in the past. One of those pigs suffered tummy troubles. One customer also complained about their pig not wanting to eat MoorMan’s ShowTec Sale Burst w/DF CTC/DEN.

Rabbit food was added to the recall because three customers complained about their rabbits losing interest in Pen Pals Professional Rabbit 18.
